Winner of three New Zealand Music awards, Paul Ubana Jones boasts an impressive four-decade career and has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, BB King and many more soulful icons.
Paul was playing the guitar by the age of 11 and after years of classical training, Paul forged his own contemporary style, influenced by blues, rock, folk and jazz.
This evening will showcase Paul's musical influences from Ray Charles, Otis Reading , Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf as well as 'Folk Baroque' schools of Davey Graham/Bert Jansch and John Renbourne and of course most of the African American sounds
